Revelation is a difficult book to understand. This reality is not helped by the vastly different interpretive approaches faithful and well respected biblical scholars use. In this series the interpretative approach taken is that Revelation is a message for all ages as such

– Revelation is not giving a litany of historical events, but we can relate history to it.

– Revelation is just for the 1st century Christians, but we need to know the original audience.

– Revelation is not just about the future, except for chapters 20-22.

The key purpose of Revelation is to recognise that believers live in a broken world and it is teaching us how to have faith as we make our way in this broken world.
